What is the Difference Between High Pressure Rubber Tubing and Metal Hose Pipe?

1. The difference between high pressure rubber tubing and metal hose pipe

Based on the manufacturing process, high pressure rubber tubing is mainly divided into high pressure steel wire braided pipe and high pressure steel wire wound pipe. The high pressure rubber hose pipe is mainly composed of an inner rubber layer, a middle rubber layer, four or more alternately wound steel wire reinforcement layers and an outer rubber layer.

2. The structure of the high pressure steel wire braided pipe

The high-pressure pvc wire braided flexible hose pipe is mainly composed of a liquid-resistant synthetic rubber inner layer, a middle rubber layer, I, II, and III steel wire braided layers, and a weather-resistant synthetic outer rubber layer. The manufacturing methods of braiding and winding are different, the braided steel wire is grid-shaped while the wound steel wire is spiral-shaped.

The braided pipe can be single-layered, but the wound pipe one has to be double-layered. Since the wound pipe must be wound clockwise and counterclockwise alternately, the steel wire will not loosen. For the same number of layers of steel wire, the wound steel wire will bear more pressure than the braided steel wire.

There are two types of corrugated pipes used in the metal hose pipe, one is the spiral corrugated pipe while the other is the annular corrugated pipe.
