Which Material is Better for Gas Hoses?

Gas hose is one of the necessary materials for connecting gas pipelines and gas-using equipment, and its quality directly affects the safety of gas-using.

Among them, the material of the gas hose also affects the use of the gas hose. In many cases, a good material can often play a very important role at a critical moment, and the same is true for the gas hose.

So what kinds of materials are common gas hoses, and which ones are better? Let's introduce them to you.

There are two types of gas hoses, one is stainless steel corrugated hose, and the other is PVC gas hose; each has its own advantages and disadvantages, and it is recommended to choose according to your own situation. The following is the introduction and advantages of the two types of hoses.

Ⅰ. PVC gas hose

The PVC gas hose is generally divided into three layers, the innermost layer is the pvc black rubber layer inner pipe, the middle is the steel wire explosion-proof mesh, and the outermost layer is the pvc protective layer.

The explosion-proof net plays the role of hooping the pvc inner pipe, and the protective layer plays the role of flame retardant, preventing rat bites and scratches. The price of PVC gas hose is relatively cheap, and it is suitable for household use with liquefied gas tank connection and regular ventilation. Compared with the second type of stainless steel corrugated hose, it is more convenient to replace.

Ⅱ. Stainless steel corrugated gas hose

The material of the stainless steel corrugated hose is 304 stainless steel. The principle of production is to use 304 stainless steel pipe to make a spiral and coated pvc protective layer through a hydraulic process.

Stainless steel corrugated hose has the advantages of anti-aging, high temperature resistance, anti-rat bite, anti-shedding, corrosion resistance and long life. But the price is more expensive than PVC gas hose.

The use of stainless steel hose requires care not to disturb back and forth, which may cause metal fatigue or air leakage from the threaded joint. On the other hand, the stainless steel corrugated hose should not be too long. If it exceeds 1.5m, it needs to be fixed;

When it is mechanically damaged by external force, we cannot judge whether it has cracks or stress concentration with the naked eye, so it must be replaced.

Ⅲ. Precautions for gas hose

1. Due to the relatively high temperature in the kitchen and many things stored, the ignition hose is easy to age, fall off, wear out, and be easily bitten by rodents and insects. It needs to be checked frequently and replaced once a year.

In addition, the hose must be equipped with a pipe buckle, otherwise it will easily fall off and cause an accident. Gas hoses should not be placed close to the burner to prevent damage from high temperatures. When not using gas, close the single-mouth valve, namely the valve behind the meter, to keep the kitchen ventilated.

2. In addition to inviting professionals to come to the door for inspection, citizens can also conduct self-inspection and self-inspection of gas appliances regularly in their daily life: First, smell the smell. A special odor is added to the gas, and it is easy to be detected in case of leakage.

Secondly, when there is no gas at all, check whether the numbers in the red box at the end of the gas meter move; finally, spray the joints of the gas hose with soapy water. If bubbling is found, it means there is a leak.
