How to Maintain the High Pressure Rubber Tubing?​

1. Maintenance of the high pressure rubber tubing

Cleaning:

After use, it is recommended that you empty the tubing. If necessary, it should be cleaned.


Inspection:

The high pressure rubber tubing must be inspected after each use to ensure that there is no structural damage.


Pressure:

If the high pressure rubber tubing is under severe pressure during use or the outer layer of the rubber tubing will be in contact with the conveyed liquid for a long time, a hydraulic test is recommended.


Due to the natural properties of rubber, the physical properties and performance levels of all rubber products will change. Such changes usually occur over time depending on the type of rubber used. But it may also accelerate changes due to several factors or a combination of several factors. Other materials used to reinforce high pressure rubber tubing may also be negatively affected by improper storage conditions.


2. Detailed steps of making high pressure rubber tubing

(1) Mandrel of the high pressure rubber tubing

The mandrel generally adopts the form of pulling backwards, and its main purpose is to increase the firmness of the connection between the     and the tubing. After the barb processing of the mandrel is completed, the top of the barb must be blunt, otherwise the top of the barb will pierce the lining material of the high pressure rubber tubing during the crimping process, even if the the joint of high pressure rubber tubing is fastened firmly. If the inner layer is damaged, high pressure water will leak from the withholding place.


(2) Coat of the high pressure rubber tubing

Generally, the wall thickness of the coat should be moderate, and the depth of tooth of inner rectangular should not be greater than 2mm, that is, (D-d) should not be greater than 4mm.


(3) Selection of high pressure rubber tubing materials

Different materials should be used for the mandrel and the coat, and their yield strength and plastic deformation should be different. The strength of the coat should be smaller than that of the mandrel. The purpose is to make the coat more prone to plastic deformation than the mandrel and increase the firmness of crimping. And reliability, and the corrosion resistance of the mandrel should also be considered. For example, the mandrel should be 1Cr13 or 2Cr13, and the outer coat should be ordinary A3 steel.


(4) Truncated place of the high pressure rubber tubing

First use a thin wire to tie the surface of the truncated place, and then use a grinding wheel cutting machine to cut. The cutting speed should not be too fast. The cutting is cooled with water at the same time. The purpose is to prevent the heat generated during the cutting process from damaging the outer protective layer of the tubing. It will cause the steel wires of the reinforcing layer to diverge, which will eventually bring great difficulties to the installation of the mandrel and the coat.
