Test Methods for Vacuum Performance of PVC Transparent Steel Wire Hose Pipe

Generally, after PVC transparent steel wire hose pipe is produced, manufacturers need to carry out related vacuum performance detection. The standard refers to the test method for the change of the shape of the internal and external surface of the flexible pipe after it is evacuated to the specified negative pressure. Let's get started with it.


For the length of the steel wire hose pipe, the minimum length (excluding the end hose connection) should be five times the nominal inner diameter of the hose, or 1 meter long. For these two data, the longer the numerical value could be chosen. If the length is less than 1 meter, the whole hose pipe or hose pipe assembly may be used. For hoses that have an inner diameter of 80mm and below, in general, it is needed to first put the hose as flat as possible on a plane, and then use a metal plug to block one end so that it will not have leak air phenomenon. At this point, a solid ball should be inserted into the pipe, then the open end of the hose needs to be connected to a vacuum pump with a vacuum gauge.  Within 60 seconds, we need to reduce the internal pressure of the hose pipe to the standard test pressure and keep this value for at least 10 minutes. In the process of maintaining the test pressure, we can also check whether there is any sag outside the transparent steel wire hose pipe. Finally, we need to tile the test hose pipe so that the internal solid ball can pass through the whole hose pipe. Please remember to check the hose pipe for any other faults.
